Ittinenary Details:
Day 1. Athens
Upon arrival in Athens international Airport, you will meet our representative in order to welcome you in Greece and he will also arrange fro your arrival transfer in the selected hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Do not forget to visit Plaka, the traditional neighborhood under the Acropolis in order to taste a tradional Greek dinner in a Greek tavern overlooking Acropolis with the lights of the night.Overnight in Athens in the Hotel of your choice.
Day 2. Athens
Today in the morning after breakfast you will have the opportunity to explore all the hidden highlights of Athens ! From the Acropolis to Omonia square, you will see the famous sites of ancient and modern Athens. During this well organised Bus guided tour you will have a perfect overview of the modern city and of cource you will learn a lot for the history of this marvellus city . You can start your day with a panoramic city tour , visiting the Acropolis the most famous monument in history , the Parthenon and of cource the famus new Acropolis Museum . Main attractions such as votives, status from archaic period Caryatides and of cource Parthenon hall with the famous metopes, the pediments and frieze will impress you !
After the new Acropolis museum you will visit a traditional Greek Tavern in Plaka in order to taste the traditional Greek food which is very famous wordwide!After lunch you will depart for a wonderful drive along the scenic costal road which affords a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf , passing through some of Athens most beautiful surburbs and at the end you will visit the famous temple of Poseidon, the God of the Sea. The view across the Aegean is magnificent with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in in the world ,extending all the way to Kea and the Peloponnese on a clear day. Day 3-Mykonos
Early in the morning, our representative will meet you at the reception of your hotel and he will transfer you to Piraeus Port, in order to take the ferry boat to Mykonos. During your trip you will have the opportunity to pass by Syros and Tinos, which are some of the most beautiful Greek islands! Upon arrival in the port of Mykonos you will meet our local representative and he will arrange to transfer you in the hotel of your choice. The rest of the day is at leisure in order to explore one of the most famous and cosmopolitan Island of the Aegean Sea! Enjoy its rustic windmills, churches, white washed houses and explore the cosmopolitan nightlife of this island. Overnight in the hotel of your choice.
Day 4-Mykonos Island
Today, after breakfast you will have the opportunity to visit the island of Delos. A thirty minutes trip by boat brings you to the small neighbor island of Delos- one of the biggest and most important archaeological sites of Europe.In the mythology Delos used to be the birthplace of the ancient gods Apollon and Artemis and their temples have always been the center of the Holy Island.Like Mykonos first settlements on Delos have been found from around 3.000 BC by the Karers from Asia. The small island has been for centuries and more than one times the religious and political center of the whole Aegean Sea.Due to a changeful history Delos suffered many occupations and totally distractions, which played a part to the fact that more and more people left the island which is uninhabited since nearly 2.000 years. The extraordinary guided tour in English through the 4-5.000 years old temple ruins and a visit to the Museum of Delos will bring you closer to the understanding of the high- developed culture and daily life of ancient Greece.Despite its minute size, it played an important role in antiquity for both commercial and religious reasons. The sanctuary to Apollo attracted pilgrims and riches. Day 5-Athens
Free morning for relax and for a last walk in the small streets of Mykonos town. In the afternoon, transfer to the port of Mykonos, in order to take the ferry and to return back to Piraeus Port. Upon arrival in Piraeus you will be transferred back to your hotel of your choice in Athens
Day 6-Athens-Airport
Today after breakfast and according to your departure flight, you will be transferred to the airport. Its time to leave from beautiful Greece but for sure you will leave with good memories that you will remember for the rest of your life!
