Upon arrival in Athens international Airport, you will meet our representative and he will transfer you in your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Do not forget to visit Plaka, the traditional neighborhood under the Acropolis in order to have dinner in a traditional Greek tavern.Overnight in the Hotel of your choice in Athens .

Saturday : Athens
Morning sightseeing tour of Athens including all famous historical monuments: the Panathinaic Stadium, the ex. Royal Palace, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library and the Constitution Square(Syntagma). Tour ends with visit at the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum (except Mondays). The rest of the day is at leisure. In the afternoon you can have an optional tour to Sounion in order to visit the cosmopolitan suburbs of Athens.At the end of this magnificent route next to the seaside you can visit the Temple of Poseidon,who was the God of the Sea according the ancient Greek Religion.Overnight in the Hotel of your choice in Athens.
Sunday : Athens/Heraklion ( Crete Island )
In the morning after breakfast you will meet at the Reception of your hotel our representative in order to arrange your transfer from the hotel of your choice to Athens airport . From Athens airport you will have the opportunity to fly from Athens to Heraklion (Crete island).The duration of your flight is aprox. 1 hour. Upon arrival in Crete island our local representative will meet you at the airport and he will arrange for your transfer from Heraklion airport to your selected hotel in Heraklion town which is the capital of Crete. The rest of the day is at your leisure in order to relax and to start your first exploration in Heraklion town. Do not forget to visit the central square or to enjoy your dinner in a traditional Crete Tavern.Overnight in your selected Hotel in Crete island.
Monday: Heraklion- Elounta-Spinaloga-Agios Nikolaos
Today, after breakfast, our representative will meet you at the hotel and he will drive to Elounda and board the boat for the trip in the Elounda Bay with its calm, crystal clear waters. Visit the Historical island of Spinaloga at the entrance of the Elounda bay, which was once home to the lepers of Crete by the order of government. It is now one of the most popular tourist attractions. There is a fortress on the island that was used during the Ottoman Empire and later it became home to the lepers of Crete. This was a quarantine island right up until 1957. The boat trip continues to a small bay for swim and BBQ. Next to Agios Nikolaos with its elegant inner harbor and bottom-less lake so called the Saint Tropez of Crete.Return back in your hotel in the afternoon . Tuesday-Heraklion-Arkadi-Rethimno-Chania
Today after breakfast, our representative will meet you by the reception of your hotel. You start your embarkation in a modern tourist bus, with a professional English and German Speaking guide. We will drive along the coastal highway, enjoying the clear blue sea and the green countryside, typical of west Crete. Passing Crete’s oldest part full of olive groves, arrive at the monastery of Arkadi, the most celebrated Cretan monastery and a monument to the dignity and spirit of the Cretans. In 1866, while Crete was fighting for its liberation from Turkish subjugation, 300 fighters and 664 women and children took refuge in its buildings, siege by 15.000 Turkish soldiers. When all hope was lost for the besieged Cretans, they set fire to the powder magazine, choosing death rather than slavery.
Later on, the trip continues to Chania, this town is considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in all of Greece. The town is divided into two parts, the new Town and the Old Town. The New Town is where the daily business is conducted, post office, banks, offices, etc. The old Town is build around the Venetian Harbor and the architecture paints the image of past foreign domination. It has also been home to many excavation sites, therefore, the town is filled with many artifacts. Be sure to visit the lighthouse and the Firkas Fort, where during the summer months there are many outdoor performances. The Old Town is also the center of nightlife with Taverns, bars, and clubs. If you’re in search of good quality handmade leather products, Skridlof Street is the place to go. There is a local Specialty, called the Bougatsa, which is only offered Apokoronou Street, it has the texture of a cheese-pie and it is made with a secret local recipe, a MUST TRY.
After lunch, wander through the leather street and the market hall, which offers typical Cretan products. We continue to Akrotiri where the Venizelos Family grave is located, with an imposing view of the city and the surrounding countryside.Return back in your hotel late in the afternoon . Thursday- Heraklion/Knossos ( Minoan Palace )
In the morning after breakfast you will have the opportunity to visit Knossos and its famous palace, built by King Minoas 4000 years ago. It is said that this palace is the source for the myth of the Labyrinth. In An elaborate mazelike structure was created for King Minoas to hold the creature Minotaur, half man and half bull. Several of the stones on the walls have double bladed axes carved on them. The axe is an apotropaic and belief was that the presence of the axe on an object would prevent it from being killed. In reality, the palace is an amazing piece of architecture that is an extensive twirling maze of workrooms, living rooms, and storerooms. Knossos is the largest Bronze age archeological site in Crete. An interesting finding by Bronze Age scholars is the practice of human sacrifice, which was never known to exist in Crete, but was confirmed as a common practice at Knossos Palace. Knossos Palace is a MUST to see! The enchantment, the history, and the myth. The palace is a few Km from Heraklion and covers more than 20.000 Square Meters. Continue with a visit of the town of Heraklion, with time for lunch and a short walk through its shopping centre.Early in the afternoon you will return again in your selected Hotel in Heraklion town.Overnight.
Friday – Heraklion/ Athens
Today in the morning after breakfast , our local representative will arrange for your transfer in Heraklion airport in order to take your flight back to Athens.After one hour flight , when you will arrive in Athens our local representative will arrange for your transfer to your selected hotel in Athens ! Overnight in your selected hotel in Athens.
